Poker Edge Trainer ("the app", "we") is an off-table No-Limit Hold'em study tool. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it minimal on purpose.

What we collect

Account: the username you choose and your password. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are salted and hashed (PBKDF2-SHA256) so we cannot read them.
Your progress: the stats the app produces as you play — skill rating, hands played, drill and lesson results, session summaries, and settings. This is stored so your progress follows you across devices.
Purchases: a record of whether your account has unlocked premium features or an AI subscription. Payment itself is handled entirely by Google Play — we never see or store your card or billing details.
Technical: your IP address is used transiently to rate-limit sign-ins and abuse. We do not keep a browsing history, use advertising trackers, or run third-party analytics.

AI coaching

If you request an AI review of a game, the app sends the data from that game — your finish, decision counts, detected leaks, and the hands involved (as card values and positions) — to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the written coaching. This data does not include your name, email, password, or any identifier beyond what is needed to produce the review. Anthropic processes it under their own terms and does not use API data to train their models. AI coaching is optional and only runs when you tap the coach button.

How we use it

To run your account and save your progress.
To provide the features you use, including optional AI coaching.
To keep the service secure (rate-limiting, abuse prevention).

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything beyond running the app.

Data retention & your rights

We keep your account data while your account exists. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by emailing us — we will action deletion promptly.

Children

The app depicts simulated poker (no real-money gambling) and is not directed at children. It is intended for adults; the store listing carries an age rating accordingly.

Not real-money gambling

Poker Edge Trainer is a practice and study tool. It involves no real money, no cash-out, and no connection to any real-money gambling service.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
